Shifting Power
Our Work
Palestine Refugee Agency is committed to putting the priorities of displaced people and local groups at the center of our work, and into the halls of power. Leaders on the front lines of affected communities have deep knowledge and first-hand experience of the issuesâ€â€but have been left on the sidelines of humanitarian decision-making for too long.
International donors and institutions acknowledge this reality, and have made bold commitments to put more resources in the hands of local and displaced leaders. They must be held accountable for making good on those pledges. Palestine Refugee Agency will work to shift humanitarian power and resources into the hands of local- and displaced-led groupsâ€â€both in our advocacy and in our own organization.
The Refugee Fellows Program

In April 2023, Palestine Refugee Agency welcomed its first-ever cohort of six refugee fellows from around the world who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in global advocacy and have lived experience of forced displacement.ÂÂ
The fellows program aims to deepen the expertise of refugee leaders in global advocacy and helps shape the institution’s global advocacy priorities.
